Another top contender has joined the Republican race for governor of Kentucky. Kelly Craft is a Republican mega-donor who has hinted that he will run for the top spot in state government for over a year. But she joins an increasingly crowded and complicated race of Republicans seeking to unseat relatively popular incumbent Democrat Andy Beshear.

Also this week, Independent voter registration are growing faster than the traditional political parties in the state. Some political observers say it’s a sign that voters are tired of traditional politicians.
