Griggsville woman jailed after allegedly threatening official – Muddy River News

GRIGGSVILLE, Ill. — A Griggsville woman is being held in Pike County Jail on charges of threatening a public official.

The investigation began when the Pike County Sheriff’s Department became aware of a threat to a public official’s immediate family posted on a social media website. Law enforcement officials determined Rachelle R. Gress, 25, was responsible for the threat. JThe Pike County Sheriff’s Department arrested Gress at his home on Sunday, May 22.

Gress was charged Monday by the Pike County State’s Attorney’s Office. Bail was set at $50,000. A warrant was also issued to Gress for a request to revoke bail. Bail was set at $75,000.
