Governor Appoints Jefferson Coombs Circuit Judge for Ninth Judicial District | New

Governor Mark Gordon has appointed Jefferson Coombs as a circuit judge for the Ninth Judicial District serving Fremont County, Wyoming. Coombs’ appointment fills the post left vacant by the retirement of the Honorable Robert B. Denhardt.

Coombs is currently Field Office Supervisor for the Campbell County Public Defender’s Office, a position he has held since 2015. He previously served as Deputy Public Defender in Campbell County and Law Clerk for Judge Dan Price of the Sixth Judicial District. To research. Prior to attending law school, Coombs taught high school social studies for seven years. He received his BA from Brigham Young University and his JD from Hamline University Law School in St. Paul, MN.

Coombs’ appointment takes effect October 4, 2021.
