A Birmingham official shown attacking a local activist, Carlos Chaverst Jr.

A rocky past between a City official and a well-known activist came to a head at a West Birmingham club last month. In the video above, Montal Morton, chairman of the Birmingham Parks and Recreation Board, is said to be shown tackling local activist Carlos Chaverst Jr. WVTM 13 contacted Morton, who declined to comment. We have also contacted Birmingham City Council and have been referred to the Director of Parks and Recreation Council, who also declined to comment at this time.
